We invite you to join us for our annual Fashion Law seminar on Wednesday 6 November which will be held in person at our offices at 10 Finsbury Square.

The topics we will cover include:

1. Selling your fashion business in a post-Labour budget world

Following Chancellor of the Exchequer’s, Rachel Reeves’, budget on 30 October, what will selling your business mean for you? Alternatively, you may be sufficiently enthused by the budget to want to attract fresh investment. Corporate Associate, Georgie Glover, discusses the issues which you need now to factor in.

2. Green leases: opportunities and challenges for retail occupiers

Whether you’re a landlord, tenant, lender or stakeholder, ‘green’ provisions in leases are becoming more pertinent by the day. Legal Director, Rebecca Facey, will give an overview of green leases, tackle some commonly asked questions, and make sure you aren’t left in the shade.

3. As luxury loses, who is gaining?

Bill Leach, Sales Director at John Smedley, shares his thoughts about the luxury market and how the spending habits of consumers are changing.

4. What does the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act mean for the Competition and Markets Authority?

Director of Consumer Protection, Cecilia Parker-Aranha, shares her insights into how the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act will impact the CMA, with a particular focus on businesses in the fashion industry.

The seminar will be chaired by Stephen Sidkin, partner and chair of the Fashion Law Group at Fox Williams.

After the formal presentations, there will be an opportunity to ask questions of the speakers and then to network over drinks and canapés.
