The ASA has found that various advertisements for KaiAviation clothing appearing in Pilot magazine, were in breach of the CAP Code on the basis that they were irresponsible and offensive. The advertisements included zoomed in images of parts of womens’ bodies accompanied with suggestive text such as “REMOVE BEFORE FLIGHT”. KaiAviation failed to respond to the ASA’s enquiries. The ASA upheld the complaints, finding that the advertisements were socially irresponsible and objectifying.
