Fenwick Bond Street has assembled a new team containing senior employees from Selfridges, My-Wardrobe.com and Coggles.  Adam Kelly, Selfridges’ former menswear buying manager, has been appointed as fashion and beauty director.  Georgina Coulter, a senior buyer at My-Wardrobe.com, is to become buying manager for Fenwick Bond Street’s first floor.  Laura Gilbert, former assistant womenswear buyer at Coggles, is joining Fenwick as buyer for its designer floor.  Julia Reardon, former store leader at Apple’s Watford Harlequin Centre Outlet, is moving to Fenwick as store manager.

If there are any non-competition provisions in Kelly’s employment contract with Selfridges, a rival department store to Fenwick, they may be in discussion following this move.  Kelly will be reporting to David Walker-Smith, Kelly’s former boss at Selfridges.  The fashion law team have found that, in such circumstances, employers will often look at whether there are any restrictions on poaching staff, whether there has been a breach and whether the new employer has induced any breach.
